Dalepak Sponsorship

ASPIRING sporting stars continue to thrive on their chosen playing fields under the guiding hand of Dalepak… even during the credit crunch. Footballers signed to the Northampton Town Centre of Excellence, and the Cobblers Under 14 team, have been joined by progressive tennis players, golfers and a boxer in being given financial backing as well as enthusiastic support from the side lines.

The words ‘local’ and ‘opportunity’ are ingrained on the heart of Dalepak managing director Mick White who has always been keen to give youngsters every chance to fulfill their sporting dream and make the most of their talent.

On top of all this, Dalepak is now sponsoring a brand new 44 box-racing stables at Culworth Grounds Farm on the Northamptonshire border with Oxfordshire where Paul Mason has taken out a full licence to train, horses competing predominantly on the Flat.

Mick said: “These may be difficult times and Dalepak will not be immune to the credit crunch but we have always believed in putting something back into the community.

Currently flying under the Dalepak banner are:

  • Fourteen year-old tennis player Jordan Parker who has been competing in Tennis Europe events at home and abroad, rising into the top ten national boys’ rankings for his age group.
  • Wheelchair tennis player Dermot Bailey, who is now 15. His dream is to compete in the 2012 London Paralympics. Dermot, from Kettering, represented Great Britain in France in January and in early March won the ‘second draw’ junior and junior doubles at Preston in a national competition.
  • 20 year-old tennis player Charlotte Gibbons who is currently in her third academic year at the University of Cleveland, Ohio in the United States of America.
  • Northamptonshire Lawn Tennis Association, assisting at both senior and junior levels.
  • Lightweight boxer Jamie Spence who has won five of his seven professional bouts and whose ambition is to contest an Area title fight, leading to national recognition as well as performing on a show in his home town of Northampton.
  • Football teams such as the Northampton Town 14 & under side and Harpole’s village 15 & under team as well as individual Taylor Swain, who both lives in Harpole and plays for the Cobblers youth.
  • Top national flat racing jockey Paul Eddery who will ride most of the horses for Paul Mason’s new racing stables.
  • Golfers Nick Soto and Dale White. Nick is a professional based at the Northampton County Club at Church Brampton while Dale is the grandson of Dalepak’s managing director Mick and competes in both Europe and America. Dalepak also offer their support to West Midland professional Mark Butler.
